Record system audio on your phone — and turn it into text
Capture the audio playing on your device — Zoom calls, podcasts, YouTube, music apps — and get an automatic transcript. No bot joins your call, nothing appears to other participants.
Capture what your phone is playing
Record → System Audio
Open BetterBizz and choose System Audio capture.
Read the capture note
A quick warning — some apps block recording.
Approve capture
Allow screen/audio capture when Android asks (it asks each session).
Switch to the source app
Open your meeting, podcast or video and play the audio.
Return & stop
Come back to BetterBizz, stop, and preview the audio if you like.
Set & transcribe
Pick language & speakers, then transcribe. The transcript lands in your library.
iOS: start a Screen Broadcast with BetterBizz Audio, play audio in any app, then stop and upload from BetterBizz.

Private capture, full AI pipeline
Internal playback capture
Records what your phone is playing, not the room around it.
No bot, no presence
Nothing joins the call; no extra name appears in the participant list.
Works across apps
Meeting, podcast, music and video apps — where capture is allowed.
Preview before upload
Listen to the capture, then send it to transcription.
Same AI pipeline
100+ languages, speaker diarization, summaries, Ask AI, export.
Encrypted end-to-end
Captured audio is encrypted on device before upload.
System audio, mic, or a meeting bot
One option inside a complete capture kit. Use whichever fits the source.
Transcribe a Zoom call on your phone
If you're listening to a Zoom (or Teams/Meet) call on the same Android phone, System Audio captures the playback directly — no bot, no second device. Open your meeting app, start System Audio capture in BetterBizz, approve the Android permission prompt, then return when the call ends to preview and transcribe. For calls you aren't on, or fully hands-free capture, use the Meeting Link bot instead.
The same pipeline as every recording
Honest limitations — read before you record
Chrome and some browsers can produce a silent recording — use a dedicated podcast/meeting app instead.
On Android, keep the screen on during capture. iOS broadcast can continue in the background.
Behavior varies by device manufacturer.
DRM-protected apps may block capture. If silent, try a non-browser app or switch to Microphone.
Capture on your device, not a third-party bot
Captured audio is encrypted on your phone before upload and decrypted only on your device. For privacy-sensitive workflows, on-device system-audio capture keeps the recording in your control — no extra participant in the room.
Recording laws vary — two-party consent is your responsibility where it applies.
What people capture with system audio
Calls on your phone
Transcribe a Zoom/Teams/Meet call you're listening to — without inviting a bot.
Podcasts
Turn an episode playing in Spotify into searchable text.
Course audio
Capture lesson audio when a public video link isn't an option.
Privacy-sensitive
Capture on your device with E2EE storage instead of a third-party bot.
Questions, answered
Can I record internal/system audio on Android?+
Yes. BetterBizz captures device playback audio on Android 10+ using the system's audio-capture APIs, then transcribes it automatically.
Does a bot join my meeting?+
No. System Audio records on your own device — nothing joins the call. For automatic bot attendance, see Meeting Link.
Why is my recording silent?+
Some browsers and DRM-protected apps block audio capture. Use a dedicated meeting or podcast app instead of a browser.
Does it keep recording when the screen is locked?+
On Android, no — keep the screen on while capturing. iOS broadcast can continue in the background once started.
Can I transcribe a Zoom call on my phone this way?+
Yes, if you're listening on the same device. If you're not in the call, use the Meeting Link bot or import a recording file.
What's the difference from the microphone recorder?+
Microphone captures room sound. System Audio captures audio playing inside other apps on the phone.
Can I preview before transcribing?+
Yes — listen to the capture on device, then upload when you're satisfied.
Is my recording private?+
Audio is encrypted on your device before upload (end-to-end encryption when enabled).
